We’re looking for two people with a strong work ethic and positive attitude to join our team at McCormick Industries! One position we’re looking to fill is a Shop Assistant on first shift to assist with incoming material and parts washing/packaging as well as assisting machine operators. This position is a great stepping stone to becoming a CNC machinist.
The other position is for an experienced industrial maintenance technician to oversee preventative maintenance on all shop equipment as well as addressing mechanical repairs as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each of the following
essential duties satisfactorily:
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment such as cleaning and
lubricating machinery, replacing filters in lubrication and coolant systems, checking alignment
of guide bushings, and inspecting belts and seals. - Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and CNC system issues
- Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and engineering specifications for
troubleshooting - Replace bearings, drives, and motors to ensure proper machine function
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED is required. Technical degree in industrial maintenance or
electrical engineering is preferred - Four years of work experience in industrial maintenance
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Mechanical, numerical, and verbal abilities
- The ability to adapt and work effectively as demonstrated by a history of:
- Strong job performance
- Following an organization’s processes and procedures
- Active learning
- Good interpersonal skills
- Helpfulness/teamwork
- Being able to handle the physical demands of jobs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each of the following
essential duties satisfactorily:
- Assist with incoming materials, as needed (receive material, clean material for
storage, prepare material for machining, etc.) - Assist with draining and prepping chip barrels and scrap
- Assist with parts washing (operation of solvent tank and heat tank, manual
rinsing, etc.) - Assist with packaging and shipping (scale count product, box product for finished
goods/shipment, weigh product for UPS pick-ups, etc.) - Assist operators with loading bars, clearing chips, adding oil, checking parts, etc
- Maintain clean work areas (light janitorial duties, such as sweeping, breaking
down boxes, and light machine maintenance, such as cleaning oil around
machines, removing chips, etc.) - Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED is required. Vocational/technical degree is preferred
- Two years of full or part-time work experience
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Mechanical, numerical, and verbal abilities
